Beautiful Daughter-in-Law and Wedding Keepsake Idea

Landon and Jordan are married!

Covid has completely changed our world but it didn’t change their plans. Recently, in the middle of this crazy virus, my family grew by a beautiful daughter-in-law, Jordan. I truly do not have enough words to describe her. She is an incredibly beautiful, kind, amazing, smart, congenial and totally remarkable woman. She just fits perfectly into our family and we all love her so much. Of course, I am extremely proud of my son Landon for finding his perfect partner. We wish them all the best and many years of happily ever after.

Congratulations Landon and Jordan!

Gulf Shores, Alabama

I should mention the wedding took place in Gulf Shores, Alabama just a few days before a devastating hurricane hit. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone along the Gulf coast that was effected this year by hurricanes. Our hearts go out to you.

In the midst of wedding and Covid, I did get to play a little by decorating cookies for the small social distancing shower and wedding.

Wedding Keepsake Craft Idea

As a part of their wedding gift, I came up with this little wedding keepsake. A friend had suggested framing all the wedding invitations, change the dates, and reminder cards that so many had to send out during this pandemic. Things fell into place when I somehow ended up with Jordan’s bouquet after the reception. Then, once I got back to the bridal party beach house, Landon had intentionally left his boutonniere in my room. (My perfect son knows his scrapbooking mother would want to keep that!) I didn’t want to overwhelm their new home with wedding memorabilia on every wall, so I decided to combine the two wedding keepsake ideas and used the dried wedding bouquet and boutonniere as a backdrop for the invitations and mailings. I used the oven method to dry the flowers, arranged them in a shadow box and added the cards.

It’s my hope, in years to come, this wedding keepsake will remind them that there truly are good times and bad but together, you can weather any storm!

Congratulations Landon and Jordan!
