White Chocolate Bugles

The holiday season is upon us once again! For those of you who enjoy giving homemade goodies to family and friends, this may be the gift for you to share. If you love that sweet and salty mix, you will love these! Recently, I was introduced to the Bucee’s version of this addictive snack. (For my out of state friends, Bucee’s is a Texas travel stop that will just make your day! They have one in Alabama as well and I even heard Georgia now.) For gift giving, you can place in cute little seasonal tins, use a small mason jar or simply a goodie bag.

In previous blogs, I posted recipes like Homemade Marshmallows or Cinnamon Sugar Nuts for gift giving ideas for the holiday season. Today’s recipe is quite simple and just as delicious!

Only Two Ingredients

All you need for this “recipe” is white bark and bugles! (You can also add holiday sprinkles to give them the festive look but that is totally up to you.)

Simply melt the white bark in the microwave. To start, I go a full minute in the microwave, then mix. I place back in the microwave in 30 second increments and mix each time until completely melted. It may take a couple of 30 second rounds.

Then, dump in a few bugles and coat. Using a fork, pick up each coated bugle and slightly bang fork on side of bowl to allow any excess bark to drip off. Then place on waxed paper or a wire rack. (If using a wire rack, do not allow them to dry completely or they are hard to get off.)

Full disclosure, I made that mistake on a couple batches so perhaps just use waxed paper and avoid that whole mess!

If using sprinkles, be sure to sprinkle immediately while the chocolate is still wet. They dry rather quickly so do only about 10 at a time then stop to sprinkle. You may also need to reheat bark in microwave during this process. Once each dipped bugle is dry, remove from waxed paper and place into tins, jars or bags.

Your family and friends are going to love these!!! Trust me!

Happy baking! (Well in this case, happy dipping!)
